'90 760 Turbo - does your turbo make any sound when spinning? 700 1990

I have a '90 760 Turbo. I've driven this car for 2 years and I've never heard the turbo before (but felt it), but after having the intake manifold gasket replaced, it now makes a wicked hissing sound when it spools up. The car runs great, I'm just trying to determine if something is amiss. My '86 turbo made a slight whistle/whine sound when it spun, this is more like air escaping. Any ideas? It only makes this sound when the turbo starts to spin.
