the question here, as far as I can tell from the description is not the master cyl., but which original system had the valve to prevent rear wheel lock up; the 7/8" or the 1"?

I'm thinking the switch is going to put you at risk for rear wheel lock-up on gravel or slick streets unless the valve and rear cyls. are a match.

What was the original reason for altering the system from stock O.E.? Parts availability?
