How many vacuum lines go to the charcoal canister??? 200 1982

I have been searching and searching for the source of my rough idle. I found a lonely vacuum hose that goes to the charcoal canister. it appears as if there are two lines that go to the canister. One line is plugged into the underside of the manifold, and the other doesnt have a home right now. Does anyone know where this other line should terminate. As far as my idle, i have done the following

new plugs
cap, rotor, wires are 8k old
Inspected rubber boot between TB and air flow sensor
inspected idle air valve hoses
replaced flame trap
new fuel filter
inspected all vacuum lines I could find (havent removed manifold yet)
engine has 130k on it
is there a way to test the idle air control valve for proper function??
injector o-rings??

Thanks in advance!

Matt
