Do I need a super stud? 140-160 1970

I don't know about torque specs for them bolts... I've used a torque wrench only once, and that was the Jaguar engine rebuild. I always just go with intuition...and on the manifold bolts, I'd say looser the first time is probably better. Then retighten after a few days or if a vaccuum leak is present.

I also wouldn't bother with stainless studs. Let them rust into the cyl head, then they won't come out when you loosen the bolts. But stainless or brass bolts would probably be a good idea. Should make future disassembly easier. Of course, if you do it right, you won't have to worry about it again for 10 years...so no need to worry too much. Volvo's original bolt and stud system seems to have worked fine for a long time, and should work again....

I'll email you about the driveshaft address...hope it works for you. I'd say you can probably kiss that hard drive goodby though...

Cheers,
Matt
