Hard starting 700 1990

Hi, I am having a problem with my 90 740. The car will not start unless I use starting fluid. Once it starts it runs fine. I have plenty of spark at the distributor and at the plugs. I changed the fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator, although the fuel pressure regulator was used. Still no difference. This problem started out of the blue. It was fine until a couple of days ago. Any suggestions.
