M46 tranny

Hi Everyone,

I'm working on tearing down an M46 and a B21ft at the moment. I'm a ways into each, and the engine is going smooth right now. The M46 has stagnated because of that stupid lockring mounted on the shaft that runs the gears. I'm talking about the smaller one. I bought a snap ring tool from Shucks which the locking quickly broke (stripped the threads) and I've been trying to use needle nose pliers and a combo of 2 wrenches prying against one enough to get the ring open enough to jab a screwdriver in there and pry it out...its starting to piss me off and if I didn't think I would have a hard time finding another one I would just cut it off with a dremel tool...but I think I would have a hard time finding this thing...soooo anyone have any tricks getting this lockring off?

Thanks,
Will
