rear suspension 900

This is my only beef with this car. Overnight the rear driver's side of the car sags several inches more than the right. The springs are new and I switched the Nivomats from left to right all to no avail. By the time I pull out of the driveway in the morning one quarter of the left wheel is hidden in the wheel well and the tilt is very noticable. The Nivomats do level the car after some driving but I hate the way the car sits in the driveway and handles first thing in the morning. The tilt is very noticable when driving. I have noticed that the gas tank which is 80 L (~20 gal) is way off center to accomodate the exhaust. About 3/4 of the tank is on the left. I suspect this is why the drivers' Nivomat deflates more on this side than the other. My question is: If I replace the springs with stronger ones for more support, and the Load leveling function of the Nivomats is greatly reduced, will the Nivomats' still provide dampening even though they are not "pumped up"? Oh yah, and what about the ride quality?

Thanks, 92 960 170k
