problems with my 740 turbo 700 1987

A 1987 with only 85k on the odometer?!? That sounds extremely odd... was this car garaged for a long time or in storage? If not I might question that count and check the OD to make sure its original/not rolled.

The problem you mention sounds familiar. Have you looked through the 700/900 FAQ section of this site? Its hidden now, but you can find it here:
