HELP! I See Rust!! 700 1988

Amen, Rick!

"On a quick sidenote, I recommend ALL VOLVO OWNERS continuously check the back of the front wheel wells (which is also the floor of the driver and front passsenger) for deterioration.... Volvo's driver and front passenger floorboard IS the wheel well. Why is this bad? Because it directly exposes the floor of the car to all the crudoo, stones, salt, and other garbage..."

I see lots of such suffering on mid-'80s 700s. But have caught on that later models had plastic "liners" in the front wheel well. I grabbed a pair of these liners at the U-Pull, but failed to fit them in my '87 745. Do you see any such solutions, or helpful *retrofits* for mid-'80s cars that are not yet crapped out?

Thanks! Gregg
