rear brakes squealing on reverse 200

Hello,
I changed the front and rear brake pads on my 240 volvo in early dec. I used the car for a week, no problems. I went overseas for a vacation and came back early jan. drove the car for about a day or 2. no problems.
Then all of a sudden one morning. while reversing, I stepped on the brakes to stop and the rear brakes screeches the hell out of itself. It gets better wehn I end up at car afetr driving about 10 miles. but everytime I start the car in the mornings especially and REVERSE, the rear brakes screech like hell.

A friend of mine mentioned that maybe my rotors were uneven and I should sent them to the machine shop first, but that does not explain why I did not have the problems for the 1st week after changing the pads.
He also suggested reversing fast and pulling the handbrakes to stop the car, so as to "set" the pads. This worked, sort-off. and today I am getting it again.

Any ideas ??
thanks in advance to all replies
