Exaust pipe before cat. 700

That's a hole for inserting a probe from an exhaust gas analyzer. (99% certain!) If you get another one, put it in with anti seize to make it easy for the next mechanic that uses it. Hole is before that cat because the exhaust gas analyzer needs to see un-catalyzed exhaust to give accurate readings. Good luck!!!
