Help! 91 - 940 turbo electrical problem

Hello everyone,
I'm experiencing a problem hopefully someone will be able to help with. On saturday while on a long drive, my ac off button started to flash. I remember reading that this was indicating a problem with the climate control so I continued on my journey. (bad idea) Several minutes later the BAS light came on and then the SRS light and the car began to sputter. After being towed to a service station far from home, they indicated that it was a bad battery which I had them replace along with the cable ends and other connectors going to the battery. Drove off and all seamed ok for about 50 miles and then same thing happened. I decided to have them tow me the 140 miles back home and now she sits and I'm stumped. The station that did the battery said the alternater was charging but I'm not sure. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance
Rich
