Mufflers 200 1983

I own an 83 240 volvo sedan.

Last August, I went to Midas and had them put on muffler and both tailpipes.

Now it's January and I hear rattling in the back when I'm idling.

Is this because I used after market parts? Should I have used only volvo parts?
Should I bother making use of the "lifetime warranty" of Midas, or should I really spring for the volvo treatment?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
