Steering wheel seems loose 200 1983

My steering wheel seems a lot looser than when I bought my 240 1983 sedan back in June. Any ideas on how labor-intensive this project might be? Or at least what some of the issues might be. Would a delay in fixing this cause alignment issues?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
