Front Caliper Bracket Guide Pin is Stuck...big mamba trouble 900

Hi everyone, and condolences to the Mullah. He's had more than his share of anxiety this week. (That motor still scares me.)

Here is my problem, miniscule, in comparison to the rings on his 960.

When I changed my strut dampers, and pulled the caliper, bracket, and rotor off the strut, in the reassembly I discovered the bottom pin on the bracket was frozen solid. Nothing I did would get it to budge. I knew I would not fix it that day, but I know I have to attend to it soon.

The brakes are relatively new, and I am positive I cleaned up the pin and relubed it with the good stuff, like I always do. My 93 940 brakes have been relatively trouble free for 152k miles.

At this point I figure my only choice is to get a used bracket, and replace the brake hardware. Replacing the hardware is probably a good idea anyway.

What are my chances of salvaging the old bracket? Can I get the old pin out? Anyone have this problem before?

Mark
