1-2-1 = Fault in Air Mass Meter? 200 1989

Gents,

Oh no is it toast? It's original with 404 thousand km's on it. The other code besides 1-2-1 is 2-3-1 (Fuel system compensating for rich lean mixture at cruise). If its's the AMM I will try to buy used because thay cost $ 500 plus here in Canada. Is it possible to disconnect and drive to test or will it not run.
