Forgot to mention that I tried adjusting the cable from under the armrest/rear ashtray area with the knob. I turned it a few times, and it did seem to get a bit tighter, but I still have to yank pretty hard to make the brake effective in stopping the car from moving. Also, my car has 133K miles on it now.
