Yet another hard start problem..... 700 1988

My hard-starting problem was solved by replacing my ignition switch.

By the way, I had this problem only when it sat overnight, so if your V does this all the time, it may or may not be the switch.

For months, I couldn't figure out why I either had to crank the engine for 10 seconds before it started, or wait until the dash idiot lights lit up before the plugs fired, and hence fuel was injected.

I guess I'm saying to check for the "dash-lights" symptom. Turn the key to the No. 2 position and wait for a few seconds until all the lights come on. Then turn it over and see if it starts.

Good luck!

- Al
