When my 87 760Ti blew out, I ended up buying a donor car with the oil-cooled pistons for pretty cheap (1300). You might want to try the local junkyards, or look at www.iaai.com - they sell totaled cars from teh insurance companies... pretty good deal actually, you get a working model of the wiring as well as a ton of parts. My recommendation is to get a turbo motor from the 940 or the 740/760Ti... it;s the same engine.
