reverse lights not working, if it's an automatic trans 200 1987

the switch is in the Neutral/park switch, aka the start inhibitor switch. The rest of the circuit is pretty much the same. On the M46/47 the connector on the trans is a PITA for you to reach, but the elements, road crud, blown back oil and fluid drips, and road kill stuff all reach the connector easily.

BTW, the manual trans has the switch on the driver's side (in the USA) and there is another switch on the passenger side that is the 4th gear sensor for the overdrive.
