CONTROL ARM PROBLEMS ---- FRONT WHEELS OUT OF LINE !!! 700 1990

It sounds like the caster is different on each side. It should be 5 degrees of negative caster. If the lower radius rod, which connect the lower control arm to the chassis, are of unequal length, this would be your problem. They are sold in different lengths, which I don't know what they are. It is possible to go the cheap route and add washers to the back side to adjust the caster. Otherwise, get a new longer or shorter one, as required.

You may also want to check the cone bushings. They are held in the lower control arm between the large washers and the bolt in the radius rod.

Check the 700/900 FAQ via the 'features' pull down menu. Look under suspensions.

If the car was in a crash and was competantly repaired, I wouldn't worry. Take it to a body shop and have them check the chassis for alignment.

I have a problem with camber on one side. My caster is fine. I'll just live with the slight misalignment.
