120mph speedo-really??

I do believe it'll be do-able. Obviously, wind resistance would prolly be the biggest factor.

I've once done 110mph on Highway 14 in my '79 245, after a tranny swap to an AW71L. It wasn't even turning 4k at that point. Gearing was so high, though, that the slightest of inclines sends the speedo downwards. :)

My bigger concern of going faster at that point were my tires ... I really don't want to find out what'll happen to a set of SR-rated (112mph max.) tires that came from a junkyard.

-- Kane ... who, should a speeding ticket have arose, prolly could've talked out of it in the fact that it's a 20 year old Volvo. :)
