Wiring Harness? 200

This may turbo out to be a wiring harness problem, but perhaps someone has had a similr deal with their car, and can help me out.

While driving with my lights off, all is well. The car runs perfect, as it always does, and my dash is normal. I turn my lights on...what the? For some reason when I turn my lights on, I get flickering dash lights, and my gas and temperature guages read extra high. It bugs the living crap out of me since it looks like my car is running really really warm, but I am almost positive it isn't as the guage is fine with the lights off.

I have started to think that this is probably a wiring problem in the form of a bad ground. I know that my year of car probably has the "Earth Friendly" wiring harness, which could also be part of it.

Any ideas?
