Broken seat belt release button 900 1994

Well, the seat belts in the back seat of our 945 got clobbered with hockey skates (I am the guilty party) one time too many, and one of the red release buttons broke and fell out, spilling the springs as well. The latch still works OK, but this is one of those things that should be put right before it does jamb or some kid gets a finger stuck.

Can the female latch unit be rebuilt? Or would a new red button with springs just snap in? If the latch cannot be repaired, a new unit will be very expensive and a pain to install because this particular latch shares its anchor with the middle position shoulder belt, which has its own retractor and runs through the seat back.

We have three kids so the middle shoulder belt gets used all the time. Doing without is not an option.

Imagine what skates would have done to leather!
