Clutch replacement 200

Just replaced a clutch cable, clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing and
when I depress the clutch predal it does not seem to disengage the clutch. The
pedal travel is shorter than usual and it does not have the normal feel. As careful as I was I am beginning to flush with embarrassment and frustration that I may have installed the clutch plate backwards.

Before I start back in does anyone have any ideas for other possible problems or tests that will confirm/deny that the clutch plate is the problem? Thanks.
