WIRE FROM ALTERNATOR TO SOLENOID - '80 244 200

Jim -

Go with the six gauge. That wire carries the charging current via solenoid up to the battery; heavy amps. If posible, find some neoprene tubing that the wire will slip inside of, and then put it in along side the old harness. That location gets heat, oil, road whatever, and is generally a bad location for any wire without insulation made for that service.

Quite a story. Any quotes from the SLC screeners? My son-in-law had a delay from screeners because the shoes in his carry-on bag had shoe trees in them, and they didn't know what they were. He explained, but they still asked him how he could get his feet into the shoes!!

Regards,

Bob
