The power steering pump on my 1987 240 wagon does not quite sit in line with the other wheels for the other belts. When viewed from above it is as if the far edge of the wheel on the pump is 2 or 3 MM forward of the imaginary line that the belt should follow.I can see no rubber bushes or anything that might hav perished or aged.I was thinking of removing the bracket from the block and placing thin washers in behind the bracket under the leading 2 bolts to tilt the pump rearwards at that edge.Does anyone think this will work or is there a better way to tackle this.
