HELP on '85 240 Turbo Warm start!!!! 200 1985

Welcome.

The idle Control Motor (many various other names for it) regulates the idle when the throttle plate is closed. The microswitch on the throttle body detects the closed throttle and sends a signal to the CIS system, which sends a signal to the idle motor to open more or less to control the idle. This is also how the idle is higher when cold and lower when warm (although mine does not do this)

It dies when u press the accelerator also? Hurm. is this only when warm or does it do that when cold too?

take care
