240 - Sedan vs. Wagon? 200

Hello everyone,

I'm a bit of a newbie here - I don't actually own a Volvo, but have been seriously considering the purchase of one over the last while, as a general purpose runabout kind of vehicle. I'm drawn to the 240 because of its reputation for reliability and because it generally seems to fit in with what I am looking for in a car.

Originally, I was sure I would go with a sedan, but the more I look at and read about the wagons, the more I think that one of these might be a worthwile option. How do the sedan and wagon compare in terms of general size (is the wagon much longer?) and drivability? It is likely that I will be encountering snow, if that's important - I know that there is some debate about RWD cars in the snow.

Also, is the carrying capacity of the wagon really that much bigger? I know it's a wagon, but how large is the trunk of the 240 sedan?

Thanks in advance for the info, and I hope to be able to join the ranks of happy Volvo owners someday soon!
