Tranny Fluid What Should I Use? 200 1980

Hi I am changing my transmission fluid on a manual 4 speed with OD because I was told on the BB that this might help in the way my car shifts and plus my car is 22 years old. Maybe time to change it since it is the original fluid. But any way to get to the point i am not sure what fluid is the correct one to use. I have heard of people using 10W30 but had bad results so what is the correct fluid to use? Thanks a bunch ahead of time.
