WHY WON'T THIS THING START??? 700 1989

It doesn't matter which injector wire goes to which injector, they all open at the same time anyway... if you trace the injector wires back into the harness, you'll notice that they are all spliced together.

Check the trouble codes for anything obvious.

I would look for mixed up plug wires. The firing order is 1-3-4-2 (with 1 being at the radiator end of the engine), so check the wires at the distributor accordingly. The next thing I would check for is a incorrectly installed timing belt... did you double-check the timing mark on the crank gear?

In a car that doesn't start, you can check to see that the injectors are working by removing the spark plugs... they should be moist with gas.

BTW why did the car need a new engine?
