It can't be the injectors! 140-160

The trigger points are on the side of the distributor held in place by 2 small screws. Pull off the electrical connector (careful not to destroy the rubber boot) then remove the two small screws......and they are small. Pull out the trigger points. You can clean them with a bit of brakeclean fluid and a business card which you just slide back and forth a few times. Lubricate the distributor shaft with a bit of cam grease (the same stuff you put on the upper end of the distributor shaft to lube where the ignition points rubbing block sits) and then reinstall. If I remember right, there is a paper gasket to seal between the points and the distributor. In its place, since the paper gasket disintegrated, I used a small amount of 3M sealer strip. Thats the black stretchy stuff that comes in long thin strips.

New trigger points are available from Volvo or from RPR, Albany Calif. The web site is RPRUSA.com
