??Rebuilt cylinder head B234F DOHC 700

Thanks to all who posted to my last question on a 1990 740GLE with the B234f.

I have some more questions! Of course.

Reading through a Chilton's manual it does describe removal and replacement of head. It looks as though you must remove the camshafts and use special tools to do all this? Does that sound right.
I can probably follow the directions in the manual, but it is seriously lacking in diagrams, and/or photos, it would help immensly if anyone had a blow up with details of this head to go along with the directions!!

My email is jchiodi@graphicinfo.com and my fax is 513-948-9099 if anyone can copy and send.

Once I get the head off, what do I look for and how do I check for other damage?

Also, I looked up some prices for rebuilt heads on the internet, cylinderheadstogo.com (no kidding) said they could rebuild for $260.00 with exchange. Another place quoted $695.00 with exchange, does anyone have any experience with any places like these? Am I dreaming or something? A local independent shop said the last one they did ran around $4,000.00!!! Lots of little maintenance to go along with head I suspect.

Sorry for long post... hope to hear from anyone out there!!!
