1987 740T - hole in boot from air flow sensor to turbo 700 1987

While having a general oil change / tuneop done at the local shop, they noticed that my '87 740T has a hole in the boot between the air flow sensor and the turbo... the part doesn't seem to be available locally (small town), and the price estimate is $200 to $300 for it.

Does anybody have a better (cheaper!) source on this?
