Lean machine 700 1988

1988 760 Turbo

It's running lean baby. The exhaust analyzer says at idle air/fuel ratio fluctuates between 18:1 and 19:1. It doesn't get better at higher rpms. I'm taking readings ahead of the catalytic convertor, because its toast. What is the ideal Air/fuel ratio (or if you can't find that, then Lambda)? CO (preferably % than ppm)?

The car stalls, but I'm going to tackle that later if it isn't related to the lean mixture.

Is the mixture adjustable on the Jetronic system? Where is that adjustment? Something else be causing the problem, like dirty injectors or something?

Any ideas welcome, thanks

-Matt
