hesitation upon acceleration 700 1985

hesitation when cold....when my 85 740 is cold...she hesitates upon acceleration....not immediately after start up, i would say after car has been running for about 5 minutes...for a while , it will hesitate badly...like its starved for fuel......this does this for about a minute or two then stops....runs fine till the car goes cold again.....any ideas
