Whats the deal with my rear trans seal? (and bushing)

Boardmembers,
Just replaced my rear trans seal for the third time in about 60000 miles. The second time I found that the rear tailstock bushing was improperly installed, not allowing the rear bushing to get enough lubricant. After I replaced the seal (for the second time) and the bushing I thought that I wouldn't have this problem again, until I noticed that it was leaking AGAIN! This is the third time and now it appears that there is slop in the yoke where it goes into the bushing again. The rear seal is an easy job, one hour tops, and it is really no big deal to replace the rear bushing, but I don't want to mess with it again. Anyway the parts guy informed me that the mechanics replace a fair amount of these bushings/seals. What gives?
