turbo whine 700 1989

my turbo was working good all i could hear was the wind up and just barly but after a few runs at about 100 my turbo makes a loud whineing sound whenever it starts to spin i dont know what this is and how bad it is but i let the car cool down for about 2 or 3 minutes before i turned it off so it beats me also my service light comes on but turns off after a few minutes but i am guessing this is just oil change this happend before the turbo thing so any help would be greatfull thanks
