240 Radiator Question 200 1983

Two part question:
The radiator in my '83 245 is leaking, a lot. I thought it was just the hose from the (what I call) "filler tank" to the radiator, but fixing that didn't stop the leak. It appears to be from the bottom of the rad.

So my questions:
Can I/Is is worth it to use those Bars Leaks type products to try to stop this leak? If so, can I just add the stop leak to the "filler tank?"

I have an '87 that I can use for parts. Will the rad. from an '87 240DL fit an '83?

Thanks very much for any suggestions!

Milan
