Should I remove fan shroud to change out timing belt and seals?? 200

While I was under my kid's 86 244 today changing out the alternator mounting bushings, the fan shroud was a bit in the way. I made a valium attempt to remove the shroud, but it looked like the fan would need to come first. This looked to be not worth the effort so I did the job with it there.

If I decide to tackle the timing belt and front seals tomorrow, would it be worth the effort to get the fan and shroud out of the way, or just a waste of time??
