Brakes NOT warping? 700 1990

Riddle me this:

700-series front discs are notorious for warping, unless you have the latest thick discs.

I have the next-to-latest discs, the largest diameter, but not the biggest thickness.

I'm getting ready to do my brakes. I have two calipers up front with siezed guide pins, so they're pressing only on one side. I've let them go to the point than one pad has worn down to the grinding point. (Hard to get upset, I've had ATE Powerslots and new pads waiting in the garage for a while.) I just ordered rebuilt calipers.

My question is this: God knows how long my calipers have been siezed, and I STILL didn't warp the rotors? The surface is chewed to death, but no warpage! Do I just have discs that are that much better? Or is it just my continuing good Volvo karma? (knocks on wood...)
