Front end noise 200 1981

So i have recently purchased an 81 242 dl, but in the last few days have noticed that when i am turning sharply either while backing up or just a simple turn that a grinding noise is coming from the frontend. the car starts to vibrate like it is dragging a tire or something...any suggestions what kind of repair cost might i be looking at.....thanks. and please help.
