Not another brain???!!! 700 1990

Sons 740 T decided to not start last night. Of course have too many meetings to play with the beastie until maybe Thursday night. I have a spare brain and fuel pump relay, so it is most likely one or the other.

Big question is: what causes brains to go? I know this is not uncommon on these particular models. Also, is there a repair one can do to the brain? It is the portion of the brain that fails to trigger the fuel pump. At this point there is no fuel pump action.

Not so concerned with getting it running as preventing this from happening again as this is the second time in a year. Even used brains are expensive after awhile.

Thanks for input,

dick
