I can see that you are frustrated with your car. The problem you describe can be caused by many different things. This can be overwhelming. Believe me, I have been there. My first suggestion is to try to figure out when the car will not start if you have a fuel or a spark problem. Either the car is a problem with the fuel supply or there is no spark that is igniting the fuel.
Check to see if you get a spark (use which ever method you feel comfortable with):
* Pull sparkplug and crank engine to see if there is spark (this may not be the safest way to check for spark, but it works).
* Use timing light and hook up to spark plug wire. Crank to see if timing light will light. If you have used a timing light you will know what I'm talking about. (this is very safe and easier to do than to pull the spark plug, and is my favorite way of checking for spark). You are however making an assumption as you don't actually see the sparkplug spark, but you know there is juice getting to the spark plug cable.
* There may be other ways of checking for spark, including some fancy see through sparkplugs that you can replace one of your regular plugs with, but I believe these are more expensive and more complicated.
Do the following to check if your engine is getting fuel:
* Hook up fuel pressure meter to fuel line to see if there is fuel pressure. This, of course, assumes that the fuel injectors are operating when you turn over the engine. (this is my favorite method and not difficult at all, as long as you have a fuel gauge. I think this is the least dangerous method too)
* Pull the fuel line and watch fuel pump out of the injectors when cranking the engine (a little complicated and time consuming, but works. Also slightly dangerous as you have gas spraying around the engine)
* Pull the gas line and turn over the engine to watch for fuel to pump
For you to figure out the problem you have with your car, you have to narrow down the problem a little (and it will get less frustrating as you continue too). Once you have narrowed it down to fuel or spark, I would post another message and ask for help. This board has helped me plenty of times when I thought I was completely stuck.
