Intermittent cut out while accelerating 700 1990

too weird! i was just about to post the exact same problem although I have a 90 740 Turbo. I've changed and tried different air flow meters to start trouble shooting and I'm getting ready to check fuel pump relay , rear fuel pump and 02 sensor . all fuses are fine. spark is good? It was just tuned a little while ago too? same prob three times today and i'm going nuts. great spark but the engine just dies like a heart which has had the vagal nerve disrupted. then starts again after a rest. recheck distibutor? heck I don't know?
