Intermittent cut out while accelerating 700 1990

Let's see what other clues I can give. When the problem occurs the tachometer does not fluctuate. It is my understanding that this problem is not on the ignition side then? What about the fuel filter? Can that give a intermittent problem? Seems like it would either be or not be. Car starts and idles fine, very smooth. Shook, pulled, yanked wires in engine and fusebox/relay compartment and cannot cause any change in idle. Also, this might be a big clue, if I disconnect the throttle switch the effect is pretty much the same as my intermittent problem. Just a little worse though. Checked the archives and found lots of other posts with similar problems but cannot find a poster that has solved their problem. The original poster never updates his post and we are all left wondering. Wife still threatening. I will never surrender.
