V6 3.8L into a volvo 740? 700 1988

Just running through a few ideas for an engine conversion for my volvo 740. My engine has 211,000k's and is waaaaaaay off being even the slighest bit tired. Loooong way. But, i was wanting to put a turbo motor into it (Australia is expensive for car parts), because i've done alot of work to this car and want to keep it, it's in excellent condition. THen i saw my friends holden commodore, which has a "Buick/GM 3.8L v6" engine in it. I was wondering it anyone has ever seen this conversion done, if so, did it fit well? I am not worried about teh electrics or anything like that, i can do that, but, more so about the actual fitting and location of the engine in the bay. And the gearbox. Any help please, v8 conversions are too expensive over here in Australia, and they use lotsa fuel too......so, hrm..... oh well, any thoughts.... Az
