Highest mileage 240 on the BB? 200 1983

Okay it was interesting to read this thread and move on, but then I was compelled to voice in. I bought one last night, all maint. records intact, orig. owner, all maintenance (Scheduled or not)performed (usually at a dealer). The body and interior are near mint for an '83. (dash cracks, side pockets missing, tailgate wiring harness, parking break probs.) But I may not be in my right mind, it has nearly 420,000 on it!! The orig speedo was changed at 230K and the new one read 190K. Runs tight!! Oh yeah, someone stole the 300K badge!!

It has had in the past five years: New trans and clutch
In the past two years: Brakes, tires, struts, fuel pump, o'drive solenoid, Hoses and belts.
In the past six months: Water pump, timing belt.

Oh yeah it has had the A/C retro fitted, Comp, Cond. and miscelanious other, july 01.

Paid $600. Is that a fair price??
