Wiring harness for 82 diesel? 200 1982

Hi All,
I'm new here so I hope I'm posting this in the correct forum. I'm looking for
a wiring harness for my 82 diesel wagon at a cost less than the value of the car! We're piecing together from two engines -- one blew so much oil the wiring has literally dissolved -- the other had original wires which could be saved with some splicing, but I'd prefer new/aftermarket.
The Volvo dealer suggested a price of $1,200! It probably borders on sacrilege, but I'm afraid I laughed at him. I didn't pay that much for the entire car! Any suggestions?
