Access to late model 700 relays 700

I recently had reason to remove the Fuel Pump Relay in a 1989 760 turbo wagon. The relays are not accessed by removing the ashtray, as noted in the US Haynes manual (admittedly advertised only up to '88 models) but are accessed by removing the passenger side under dash panel. The relays are located on the lower dash panel below the stereo, facing the passenger side.

No mention is made anywhere else about this, but the relays were a real PITB to remove due to retention devices. Two sides of each relay are held by plastic clips that must be pried OUTWARD at the same time to allow removal of the relays. Unless you accomplish this maneuver, you'll either break the relay or the retention device when forcing the relay out. I found that toothpicks wedged into each side retention device allowed the relay to be removed with the least amount of pain.
